Winno wrote:Hi I'm new on here, I've joined really to see if anyone knows of clubs who welcome beginners to the game, I'm 27 but want to play rugby, always played football at good level but fed up of the diving and immaturity in football, now working in the tigers store I want to try and get involved in playing and enjoy it, I've followed tigers for last 4 years so got some basic knowledge of the game but no idea where I would play.
.
Can anyone help with this?

Thanks winno
Hi winno welcome to the forum.

you need to find a club that runs a good number of teams and go along to training. They should sort you out.
I have a guy who comes into the pub who did not start playing rugby until he was 50.

Hi All. I'm a relative new boy on the block, joined a couple of years ago and have posted just a few times. Have been a Tigers fan for 25+ years. I really enjoy the varied posts and opinions in the forum. My two boys are Tigers fans as is my wife. We live in Jersey so have only been to Welford Rd half a dozen times, but really enjoyed these special trips. It was great to meet so many Tigers fans when Tigers played in Jersey at the start of the season.

Hi there - joined today - coming to my first match ever at Welford Road in a little over 2 weeks time against Toulouse - bringing my 15 yr old daughter as well - not long been a Tigers fan so really looking forward to it - any tips for eating when we get there (seats in the CAT stand and parking at the Kings Power) as driving down from Yorkshire that day for the game - Cheers! :smt026

Firstly welcome and I trust you both enjoy the game, the atmosphere will be electric. Hopefully after a win at Swansea we will be chasing a home game in the next round and topping the pool for this match.
Can't help with the eating in the ground, I tend to eat outside which ever ground I am to attend, as it can be chaotic once inside with queues for everything.
"If you want entertainment, go to the theatre," says Edinburgh head coach Richard Cockerill. "Rugby players play the game to win.15/1/21.

Welcome CP46. I concur with eating outside of the ground. Depending on what time you get there, the Local Hero pub is pretty good and there is an excellent chip shop just across the road from the ground.
