If he waits much longer he'll be having his first birthday in there!!

Mind you our daughter took her own sweet time but she was under orders from my then boss that she couldn't arrive until after I had finished getting all the Winter Timetables & literature printed!

Ethan Jack Whitehorn was born at 20:29 weighing in at a not too shabby 8lb 6oz. Only 6 days late!

Mother and baby doing fine. Me? I'm pooped. Had a friend over for beers the night before then got woke up at 6am by the wife inconsiderately having painful and noisy contractions!

I don't know if I can or how to post a picture but he arrived with a full head of thick blonde hair in a Frank Lampard style.

The best moment for me was the look of happiness on my wifes face when he was put in front of her, the second best was when they put him on the scales and read out the weight just before he did a big cack all over them.

Thanks for all your messages of support. What a fathers day present!

Congrats :smt038
Best wishes to your wife and son.

Excellent name.

Have to say, I wouldn't know Frank Lampard if he walked in the door! So I've no idea what his hair is like.

Blondes are best though - I'm one :smt023 :smt003

Heartiest congrats all round.
Dish out the cigars.
Is he a back or a forward?

Well he's far too cute to be a prop (this is the one time when it is acceptable for a man to use the word cute....and awooga!) so I guess he'll have to be a pretty boy winger.

Mum is doing a bit better today but is still not allowed to leave. Op tomorrow will hopefully have her back on her feet and allowed home.

Again thanks for your kind words

Congrats Dibble, Mrs Dibble & Ethan. At 8lbs 6oz he could be a Banahan type back!

Life will now not be the same, and it won't be that long before you can't remember what life was like without the little sweetie.

I think over to the newly restored bar for a celebratory drinkie poo

Indeed, champagne to wet the baby's head!

Here's hoping Mummy Dibble will be recovered and able to come home very soon.
