It's one of my best friends 18th birthday next month... and I have no idea what to get him! For girls it's easy... but for a guy!? hmmm.... was going to take him to a gig but it's sold out
and I'm really stuck!
any (sensible) ideas will be appreciated!

Lets start at the beginning. What are his interests/likes?
Our period of waiting is over - this is the time.

Write him an IOU for a night out at a gig for later in the year, this way he has something to look forward too after his birthday.

Take him to a Tigers game. You can educate him.

If he's a fan of stand-up then why not take him to one or two of the shows at the Leicester Comedy Festival?

There's some dross in there but there are also a few fantastic acts in the line up as well this year.

It's my 18th in a few weeks too, so as a nearing 18 year old male I'll let you in on a secret. Beer.

hee when my hubby turned 18 at tesco the staff got him:
a couple of top shelf mags, and a beer mug saying 18 with his name on.
How about a beer mug with his name engraved?

Well I had a rather cool idea today... Ive contacted all his favourite artists and asked them to write him a message and then I'll frame them. So far only heard back from Klaxons... but considering that they're the Mercury Music prize winners... that's not bad
I just hope at least half of them reply, then I should be able to fill a frame!!
