Well, not mine in any sense of the word (I don't own them, I am not part of them, nor am I their only fan - though probably one of their most assiduous! )
I am sorry to post what appears like spam, but they need everyone's help and they do seem to have a certain following in Leicestershire and around it, they've played at the Charlotte several times, and have sold out venues in Nottingham and Loughborough -plus despite being nominally an 'indie' band they do have that cross-age appeal of a lads' band. This article perhaps explains it better than I could

(I'm talking about Little Man Tate, by the way )
They've got a new single out in December, on the 10th. The date is fixed to coincide with their biggest show to date, in Blackpool on the 15th. The single itself will only be available for sale for a week, which is done on purpose so that they get a good chart position and "break" through to the mainstream. A 2-minute snippet of the single can be heard on their website, www.littlemantate.co.uk and on their myspace ( www.myspace.com/littlemantatemusic ), it's called Boy in the Anorak.
If anyone hears it on the radio (xfm will do a first play tomorrow during music response, at 7 I think) could you please text in and show appreciation? Obviously the best appreciation would be to buy the single (there is a handy pre-order link on the websites above, I could put a banner at the bottom of this email but I'd feel 'spammy' so I won't ) - oh well whatever - the link to pre-order is http://www.recordstore.co.uk/home.jsp?S ... nTheAnorak"]
Somehow I feel these guys haven't had the recognition they deserve (even though it's basic indie, not Mercury Prize stuff!)
Anyone else want me to return the favour of a listen and tell me of their favourite new band?

Like his voice and the lyrics are funny. Sometimes it's nice for bands to be obscure and all yours though. If evryone likes them it kind of ruins it.
I'll show you mine. These guys are fantastic live and seriously talented. Brighton based now but were from sunny Cornwall. They are touring up north next month so check them out if you can.

Thanks for that, I'll go check them out . I have heard of the Maccabees but nothing of theirs stuck in my head (it all sorts of melts in that Wombats/Holloways/Scouting for Girls pot)cornish tigress wrote:Like his voice and the lyrics are funny.
