Stuart Broad

Post by RayDTuTu »

Leicestershire cricketer Stuart Broad has just done his country proud.
England were looking down and out against India at 114-7 chasing 212 until Stuart broad came to the crease.
England won, scoring the runs with 2 overs to spare.
Stuart made 45 runs having taken 4 wickets earlier on.
He is only 20 years old and this is about his second or 3rd international.

Congrtaulations!

Congrats indeed!

Saw the highlights late last night

"A record eighth-wicket standoff 99 runs between the 21-year-old Stuart Broad (45*) and the 22-year-old Ravi Bopara (43*) took England to victory"

from http://cricket.five.tv/newsandreports/?ciid=196626

And ... he's moving to Notts !!! :smt004

Used to be a Notts member.

Think I'll go to see him next year. He's got one hell of a future.

Who he will never play for! Fair play to the boy Broad but unless he has a Tresco style 'illness' or goes totally off the boil then you wil see him about as much as I see Scarlett Johansson every morning. Not often.

True enough I guess. It just means he might have (Notts) against his name on the team sheet.

By the way, if you're desperate to see Scarlett Johansson, I'll ask her to call round your place when she leaves me in the morning.

Tresco 'illness'????

Been there, still not fully right after 7 years.

You can see a broken arm or leg but a broken head???

Congratulations to the guy. Shame that he is leaving Leicestershire.

I'm a fairly opened minded guy when it comes to mental illness - lord knows, I pretty much have had to be.

Problem is, while I see mates dealing with all sorts of crippling problems I can't help but feel that Tresco had a severe case of 'bottling it'. I like the guy, I really do, but he has been playing high-profile county cricket all season and doing pretty well. If I was him I would retire from internationals and enjoy the remainder of his career.
