Indian brave decides to take a wife. He brings her back to his teepee and gives her a beautiful speckled cowhide to sit on as a wedding gift. She is very happy and bears him a beautiful daughter. A year later, he marries a second squaw, and this time gives her a palomino horse hide as her wedding gift. She too bears him a child, this time a young son. Then he decides to take a third wife, and decides to get her something a little special to sit on. A travelling trader shows him a very exotic hippopotamus hide, which he buys and presents to her. Soon after, she bears him twins.
So, this proves the age old theory that the squaw on the hippopotamus equals the sum of the squaws on the other two hides!
