Forum Blockbuster

Post by Kinoulton »

Supposing I want to produce an epic blockbuster film about people who contribute to a rugby club’s chat forum. It will be based on real life people but as I’ve never met most of you lot, I’m having to use my imagination when it comes to casting.

This is where I’m at so far:

Gate & Dailywaffle. What a double act they could be. Ideally I want the actors who played Boycee and Trigger in only fools and horses.

Belper John: I thought Christopher Hughes. Who he? He’s the chap who once won Mastermind, then Brain of Britain, and now appears on Eggheads. This is what he looked like in his younger days. http://www.geocities.com/mastermind_hsp ... hughes.htm

Cornish Tiger: For the mixture of humour and sullen curmudgeonness it has to be Jennifer Saunders.

Red Tiger: Easy. Ralph Little.

Anything but ordinary: Billy Piper.

Wills#1 fan, Israeli Tiger and Wharfedale: I thought the trio that play Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione would be good.

DCat: Naughty but nice with a twinkle in the eye, so I’ve gone for Cherie Lunghi.

Rizzo. Humorous, sensual, but with a dark side. Chrissie Hynde.

Jess. Well this is actually tougher because some of us know what she looks like, so finding such a stunning match is hard. I need help on his one.

And of course there’s Pam, Trout etc etc and many many more…..

Any offers?

You're going to have to help me out Simon.

Who should play you? George Clooney or Martin Clunes!

I am a bit stumped really. Either would do.

Possibly George Clooney, although Martin Clunes would make a good job and he is funny.

Is there any way I can send in a photo and then maybe you could get a better idea of which one to choose?! ;o)

I seem to attract a few nice ladies at least to talk to of varying ages and like a bit of adventure.

These days he looks more like he would spend his weekends on a narrowboat. Stopping at every pub. ;o)

Hm, this may be a bit out of character, but I'll be played by Hermione if thats ok. I'm not a ginger, although I was when I was like, 2. And I refuse to be anything to do with Harry Potter. Besides, at least if I'm played by Hermione, people'll think I look good ^_^

Of course we may get some confusion over who is male and who is female (i.e. those with neutral nicknames)

Pam - I see as a Felicity Kendal-type.
Trout - maybe Neil Morrissey?

Now does anyone want to cast the role of Kinoulton?

I'm sure that sits well with the male viewers.

She was RotY once.

Of course we could hire her chum Richard Briers as well, but which irrascible chap will he play?

I reckon Kinoulton could be played by Richard Briers. Or possibly Richard E Grant. Or Hugh Grant. Or Grant Mitchell. Take your pick.
