WATCHING TIGERS ALONE

Post by andy »

I`VE BEEN A SEASON TICKET HOLDER FOR THE LAST 5 YEAR,AT WHICH THE LAST 3 YEARS I`VE BEEN COMING DOWN TO WATCH TIGERS ON MY OWN,WHICH I DO NOT MIND DOING.
I`VE BEEN SITTING IN THE NEXT STAND AROUND THE SAME PEOPLE ALL THIS TIME,SO I KNOW THERE FACES TO SAY HELLO AND HAVE A GOOD CHAT WITH.
I JUST WONDERED HOW MANY OTHER FANS COME DOWN ALONE .?.

You may go alone but when you enter the ground you are never alone you seem to have about 15,000 mates all around you

But like you i go alone from Humberstone, Leicester
is growing bonsai a big thing

Most of the times I visit Welford Rd I go alone. As an outgoing type of guy I have no problem with this where ever I go. But It must be said that WR is one of the easiest places to go alone. Ok it helps that I stand out a bit in my Munster shirt so that attracts comments, but as Leicestershire goes it does tend to be a pretty friendly place. As I have a ST for the forthcoming season I will be there whenever it dosent clash with a trip to a Munster game. Of course one visit will be because of a Munster game.

Me too, could only get the one ticket in the next stand but I sit next to a fantastic bunch of people and we do have a very good laugh on match days - love it!

and fully deserved it is too, Kinoulton

I generally go with my daughter, my Other Half and a selection of pals. I wouldn't have a problem with going alone though, I've often travelled the country to rock concerts alone, this wouldn't be any different.

Andy - going back to your original q; I also will be going to Tigers games alone this season.

I went with mates form uni last year (from loughborough) but this season i got a season ticket in the crumbie, so if anyone wanted to come along they could (and coz it was the cheapest ticket!) But now I am on work placement in london I will probably go to most games alone - not worried about it tho; like Headers said there's 15,000 others who make you feel more than welcome.

Just cant wait for the season to start now!

I might as well ask this here too - is anyone planning on going to Munster v Tigers (HC in Jan) alone?

I go alone too, particularly as no-one I know supports Tigers that much! :( :( :( :(

Of course, I always keen to meet anyone else who travels alone to Tigers for a drink! I already know that way.

Lets form a Tigers fans that Travel alone to matches Club!
