You beat me to it!

Well done, Foxes - you were much better than Notts all the way.

incidentally, are they bad losers or what? Was it a no ball?

Think it was v close and anyway they should have come off ages ago 4 rain so Leicester deserved the win.

Wjhat was Cummins bowling though - 40 of 3 overs????? :?

Well, as a committed Notts fan, may I say well done to Leicestershire.

I wish I could have been there and it looked like a great day.

Kate, you aren't being daft at all. I was there.

I was sat in the William Clarke Stand next to a number of fancy dress people. It was a great day despite all the rain at the end. The food was great particularly the Fish and Chips and Mushy Peas before the Final. The bands weren't great but on my way round during the pre-Final interval, I saw David Lloyd (Bumble). He was in great form and having a joke - he is just as bubbly in real life and signed a number of autographs and very willingly had a mobile picture taken with a young lass.
Great fella - even though he's a Lanky!

I thought all the matches were interesting and both Leics and Notts played very well in their respective semis. Leics posted 173 and beat Essex by 23 runs. Notts posted 176 and had Surrey 16-4 at one stage.

I thought Leics deserved their win in the Final. 176 was a very good total. Don't forget though that Notts were 1 wicket down and up with run rate after 12 overs but were pegged back with wickets falling and did well to get near with 56 needed off 4 overs. It was a very good match. I managed to stay dry despite the heavy rain at the end.

I thought Darren Maddy, Hylton Ackerman, Paul Nixon, James Allenby, Jeremy Snape and stuart Broad were particularl good for Leics over their two games and Stephen Fleming, Grame Swann, Mark Ealham, Ryan Sidebottom and Charle Shrek for Notts. Mention also for Chris Read who lost a tooth in the Surrey match.

I understood from those sitting near to me that the Spireites (Chesterfield) had thrashed Millwall, 5-1!

A BIG WELL DONE TO THE FOXES!!

Although im a Tigers fan in cricket i'm a Worcester man. BUt looking at the teams on Finals day there was no contest i had to support the Foxes as they from Leicester etc so i was so happy they won but unfortunantly i didn't know until the next morning as i had to got to work, i was starting at 10 - 3am so i missed the last 2 balls. I was gutted but well done Leicestershire Foxes.

just seen on sky sports that the umpires have admitted making a mistake & the last ball should have been called a no-ball, phew i'm glad it wasn't otherwise it would have been to close for comfort as Notts then would have needed 3 from the last ball to win.

Didn't deserve it, should have been a no-ball. I was really :censored: off about that when I got home and saw the replay. Cheat Leicter :censored:.

As i've already said on the toehr thread, umpires make mistakes all part of the game, they're not cheats they simply over stepped but it happens!!

They should ahve come off for rain anyway as it was tipping down and Leicester would have still won on D.L scoring
