I just believe any highly-trained, highly-paid professional sportsperson should be able to control their temper when provoked, whether they be roundyballers, egg chasers or whatever. Even at the modest levels of sport I've played, I knew I had the beating of the opposition when they had to resort to personal verbal abuse: my response was usually just a smile. Any form of punching, head butting or kicking only sets a bad example for kids who might then emulate their sporting heroes.
Then we are in total agreement (apart from your clay-pigeon policy...you heartless, heartless get  )...I was just querying your point on why footballers choose the head-butt as the method of the attack and comparing to why rugby players chose the ruck location for the attack.

Personally it was my favorite bit of the World Cup! I was going mental when it happened, a lot more than i was when England scored... + it was an incredible headbutt, absolutely murdered him

It certainly looked like an RFU-type way of thinking.
