She's right...it's deffo the weather for it....though don't get it shaved too close else your scalp will burn.

Yes, not too short, no two is fine. It can burn no matter how short your hair is, mine did at the weekend as I have lightish blond hair. :o

I have arctic blonde hair and it offers by pate very little protection.

I could wear a cap, but since I tend to wear vests at the weekend, I'll obviously look like I've escaped from the trailer park.

Kinny, get a Tilley hat then...although make sure it's a T3 though, the rest look well queggy.

I just had a look at Tilley T3 hats on tinternet.

Could look OK at a jaunty angle.

I used to have an Indiana Jones hat. It was marvellous. I wore it to death.

Mine used to be olive green but it's battered and faded now. It's ace.

They do those Akubra ones in Australia but I imagine it'd feel like they'd weigh about 4 stone after any length of time.
