Here are the Twenty Twenty Cup Quarters. My local county, Kent just scraped through on the lucky third place after being thrashed by Surrey again!

Essex vs Yorkshire
Leicestershire vs Kent
Gloucestershire vs Surrey
Nottinghamshire vs Northamptonshire

Matches to be played on Monday, July 24

The first match is particularly intertesting as Darren Gough will be face his native county and former team.

All good matches though. Surrey and Leicestershire are the two counties that have reached all three Twenty Twenty Finals Days.

Gloucestershire reached the first semi-finals. There will be two new counties in the semi-finals.

Any predictions for those four games?

Kent did what to get through!?

Suspect that Super Notts will brush aside Northants very easily.

I was shocked too Kinny!

You could be right about Notts.

My semi-finalists prediction would be:

Essex
Leics
Surrey
Notts

My own county Kent certainly don't look good enough to progress any further.

It would be good for Notts to get through as the semis and the final take place at Trent Bridge on August 12th.

I want to go. I've been on the Twenty20 website and also on the Trent Bridge website and I still can't work out how you go about getting tickets.

Yes thanks.

Also, chap who works at Trent Bridge told me that a lot of tickets got snapped up by supporters of teams who kind of expect to be there. (Surrey was the example he gave.)

Once the semi-final line up is known they are expecting quite a few tickets to be returned, once some of these speculators find out their team hasn't made it.

Here's an update after yesterday's Quarter-Finals:

Chelmsford:

Yorkshire 143-7
Essex 149-4 (19.2 0vers)

Bristol:

Surrey 224-5
Gloucestershire 144 (18.5 overs)

Trent Bridge:

Nottinghamshire 213-5
Northamptonshire 150 (20 overs)

Grace Road:

Kent 15-5
Leicestershire 156-1 (18 overs)

Therefore, Leics and Surrey keep up their proud record of reaching every Finals day, Notts reach their own Finals day and Essex go through for the first time.

What price on another Leics vs Surrey Final?

should be looking at whose gone through.
Leics played well and will hopefully beat Essex.
Thought Broad was good in the bowling department. Hopefully he will go on and get more wickets on Finals day :D

Fair point there.

Actually, I think both games will be tough - Surrey vs Notts and Leics vs Essex. All are good teams on their day. I think that the experience in this competition of Surrey and Leics might see both through. Also, Surrey are playing very well at the moment whereas Notts seem to have been struggling in some competitions this season.

Sorry to disappoint all other fans, but I would make Surrey favourites to win the competition now. That said, Leics came through to beat them in the 2004 Final, so you never know on the day.

Good to see that the Leics/Essex game is the first semi. All we need to do now is to beat Essex!

Come on Foxes!

Well said! Also, if Leics play Surrey again in the Final, I will be cheering on the Foxes.
