redundant memberships on forums

I am trying to change the email address associated with my profile. The computer answers that there is already a membership associated with that email address.
I don't know what it is .
Can it be deleted so that I can associate my my current email address with the group membership I have had since 2007 and in so doing delete the defunct email address that is currently attatched to my profile ?

address I actually use is not the googlemail one - so please do not send any post there !

Send me a PM with your new email address or the details you want changing. I can then access your profile and change the email address etc.
