I hadn't realised until tonight that Liebenburg succeeded Pollard as the Junior Boks skipper in 2015. When they were both at the Bulls in 2017 he was vc to "club captain" Pollard too.Rugbygramps wrote: ↑Sun Jun 26, 2022 1:30 pmDon’t really see any alternative to Hanro especially as he was official vc last season. That being said who would have picked Genge as captaintigerburnie wrote: ↑Sun Jun 26, 2022 1:03 pm I guess we could add to the wish a list of who we might think will be club captain? I think Hanro is the sort of guy I would go for.

In his joining interview Pollard said he'd met up with Hanro for lunch to discuss Tigers. Hanro must have said the right things as Pollard opted to join. Sounds like they're mates off the pitch.Hot_Charlie wrote: ↑Wed Jun 29, 2022 10:02 pmI hadn't realised until tonight that Liebenburg succeeded Pollard as the Junior Boks skipper in 2015. Just looking at the junior boks squads from around that time, the number in the Prem now is quite large. Frans van Wyk was another in Liebenburg's squad, along with Du Preez brothers, and players like Wilco Louw, Esterhuizen etc.sam16111986 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 30, 2022 7:28 amIn his joining interview Pollard said he'd met up with Hanro for lunch to discuss Tigers.
