Don’t really see any alternative to Hanro especially as he was official vc last season. That being said who would have picked Genge as captain
I hadn't realised until tonight that Liebenburg succeeded Pollard as the Junior Boks skipper in 2015. When they were both at the Bulls in 2017 he was vc to "club captain" Pollard too. :smt003

In his joining interview Pollard said he'd met up with Hanro for lunch to discuss Tigers. Hanro must have said the right things as Pollard opted to join. Sounds like they're mates off the pitch.

Just looking at the junior boks squads from around that time, the number in the Prem now is quite large. Frans van Wyk was another in Liebenburg's squad, along with Du Preez brothers, and players like Wilco Louw, Esterhuizen etc.
