Blues v Crusaders is an interesting one. Could be a classic with the Barretts going head-to-head. I suspect the Blues will have the edge being at Eden Park, but the Crusaders are the ultimate side in a one-off game.

It's a great start to the day mate! Might even cure tomorrow's rainy blues. Speaking of rain,is it lashing down at HQ all day as well?

Castres v Toulouse meet tonight in the first Top14 semi-final in Nice (ko 8H05 UK time).
Here are the teams:

Castres : 15. Dumora ; 14. Palis, 13. Combezou, 12. Botitu, 11. Nakosi ; 10. Urdapilleta, 9. Arata ; 7. Champion de Crespigny, 8. Ben-Nicholas, 6. Babillot (cap.) ; 5. Staniforth, 4. Vanverberghe ; 3. Hounkpatin, 2. Barlot, 1. Walcker.

Les remplaçants : 16. Ngauamo, 17. de Benedittis, 18. Jacquet, 19. Delaporte, 20. Fernandez, 21. Cocagi, 22. Zeghdar, 23. Chilachava.

Toulouse : 15. Ramos ; 14. Mallia, 13. Fouyssac, 12. Ahki, 11. Lebel ; 10. Ntamack, 9. Dupont ; 7. Elstadt, 8. Tolofua, 6. Jelonch ; 5. Ri. Arnold, 4. Ro. Arnold ; 3. Faumuina, 2. Marchand (cap.), 1. Baille.

Les remplaçants : 16. Mauvaka, 17. Ainu'u, 18. Meafou, 19. Flament, 20. Placines, 21. Germain, 22. Epee, 23. Aldegheri.

Castres may not have some star players that Toulouse have, but they must not be understimated as they finished first in the table at the end of the normal season and so qualified automatically for the semi finals.
One interesting name is their No 7, Champion de Crespigny, which suggests that he is of the French noblesse! But Nick Champion de Crespigny is in fact, an Aussie!
They have an experienced outside half in 17-capped Argentinian Benjamin Urdapilleta who's 36, but if he's anything like Tigers' new signing Jimmy Gopperth, who's even older, then Toulouse should beware.
Toulouse's odds are 1/3 and those of Castres are 5/2, which are probably fair.
Toulouse have a pair of identical twins in the second row, Aussies Richie and Rory Arnold, who are both rather tall at 2m08/6'9¨.

Montpellier v Bordeaux/Bègles teams:

Montpellier are without 2nd row Paul Willemse and scrum half Kobus Reinach. France XV centre Arthur Vincent moves to the wing and future Tiger Handré Pollard is on the bench.
Bordeaux/Bègles were on fire against Racing and I believe that they'll be in next Friday night's final against Toulouse.

Le XV de départ de Montpellier : 15. Bouthier ; 14. Vincent, 13. Doumayrou, 12. Serfontein, 11. Rattez ; 10. Garbisi, 9. Paillaugue ; 7. Camara (cap.), 8. Mercer, 6. Bécognée ; 5. Chalureau, 4. Verhaeghe ; 3. Haouas, 2. Guirado, 1. Lamositele.

Remplaçants : 16. Paenga-Amosa, 17. Forletta, 18. Capelli, 19. Van Rensburg, 20. Aprasidze, 21. Pollard, 22. Ngandebe, 23. Thomas.

Le XV de départ de Bordeaux-Bègles : 15. Buros ; 14. Cordero, 13. Seuteni, 12. Moefana, 11. Lam ; 10. Jalibert, 9. Lucu ; 7. Diaby (cap.), 8. Vergnes-Taillefer, 6. Petti Pagadizábal ; 5. Douglas, 4. Woki ; 3. Cobilas, 2. Maynadier, 1. Paiva.

Remplaçants : 16. Dweba, 17. Poirot, 18. Picamoles, 19. Roumat, 20. Lesgourgues, 21. Trinh-Duc, 22. Mori, 23. Tameifuna

Rather than Internationals why not SR/GP/URC/Top 14 winners in a World Club tournament? Imagine that! Semis than a final drawn out of a hat, let’s see what the best league/team is. I’d love that!

Borthwick's head might explode if we were trying some of this stuff.
