Roncero Being ahead was mainly to do with Argentina not wanting to generally bring in younger players over the established internationals.

They picked virtually the same team for like 8 years.

This ^ Ayerza was arguably the best scrummaging LH that ever lived, fantastic lifter in the lineout too. Corbisiero could’ve been a great too,the power he could get from the angle he scrummaged at was incredible, his body was nearly folded in half at times!

We could debate it all day long and everyone will have their opinions, Wiggy was a great player but was helped hugely by the pack he played in certainly at club level. IMO he didn’t have the greatest all round game but his tight work and in the maul was exceptional.
Let’s not forget with Wigg that he missed the lions 97 starting berth due to the late great Tom Smith, and Trevor Woodman played in the 03 World Cup.

We as supporters are very lucky to have seen these 3 great players in a tigers side

Well if you want to go about international selections being a judge of player ability, let’s not forget that Genge has only just become a international starter.
