European finals weekend - May 2022
It's the Challenge Cup final on Friday evening and here are the teams:
Jordan Taufua captains Lyon who also have the ever-improving Joel Kpoku in the second row. Of note in the Toulon side are live-wire wingers Cheslyn Kolbe and Gabin Villière who must be among the quickest and most elusive wingers in world rugby at the moment, Eben Etzebeth and former France captain Charles Ollivon. The Argentine Fecundo Isa is on the bench. Toulon are still in with a chance of making the Top14 play-offs and few would bet against them winning tomorrow night in Marseille.
Lyon : 15. Arnold ; 14. Tuisova, 13. Barassi, 12. Ngatai, 11. Niniashvili ; 10. Berdeu, 9. Couilloud, 7. Sobela, 8. Taufua (cap.), 6. Cretin ; 5. R.Taofifenua, 4. Kpoku ; 3. Bamba, 2. Marchand, 1. S.Taofifenua.
Remplaçants : 16. Ivaldi, 17. Kaabèche, 18. Gomez-Kodela, 19. Lambey, 20. Goujon, 21. Fainga’a, 22. Doussain, 23. Mignot.
Toulon : 15. Luc ; 14. Kolbe, 13. Hériteau, 12. Paia’aua, 11. Villière ; 10. Carbonel, 9. Serin ; 7. Ollivon (cap.), 8. Parisse, 6. Du Preez ; 5. Alainu’uese, 4. Etzebeth ; 3. Gigashvili, 2. Tolofua, 1. Gros.
Remplaçants : 16. Étrillard, 17. Devaux, 18. Setiano, 19. Rebbadj, 20. Smaïli, 21. Blanc, 22. Wainiqolo, 23. Isa.
The teams for Saturday's final will be announced at midday tomorrow.

Not bad is it give Parisse 50 minutes then bring Isa on. Certainly made a huge impact against Sarries

Champions' Cup teams:
Stade rochelais : 15. Dulin; 14. Leyds, 13. Sinzelle, 12. Danty, 11. Rhule ; 10. West, 9. Berjon, 7. Haddad, 8. Alldritt (cap.), 6. Liebenberg ; 5. Skelton, 4. Lavault ; 3. Atonio, 2. Bourgarit, 1. Priso
Remplaçants : 16. Bosch, 17. Wardi, 18. Sclavi, 19. Sazy, 20. Bourdeau, 21. Retière, 22. Botia, 23. Favre.
Leinster : 15. Keenan ; 14. O'Brien, 13. Ringrose, 12. Henshaw, 11. Lowe ; 10. Sexton (cap.), 9. Gibson-Park ; 8. Conan, 7. Van der Flier, 6. Doris ; 5. Ryan, 4. Molony ; 3. Furlong, 2. Kelleher, 1. Porter.
Les remplaçants : 16. Sheehan, 17. Healy, 18. Ala'alatoa, 19. McCarthy, 20. Ruddock, 21. McGrath, 22. Byrne, 23. Frawley,
Will Skelton is back in the 2nd row for La Rochelle and Brice Dulin is at fullback, but first choice scrum half Kerr-Barlow is out with a broken hand.
Leinster are, of course, at full strength for their priority competition. The URC they'll probably win with their 2nd string side!

What a horrendous error at the end of that half. Awful mistake at this level.

Lots of errors; some good stuff, some quick backs but very curate's egg.

Sadly, I'm convinced they will. No way Toulon will be that bad again in the second half

Re: European finals weekend - May 2022
Shocking.. gets dumped on his ass by a great tackle then goes flying in to clear out moments later to get his own back and is lucky they didn’t have a good angle on that one. Terrible sportsmanship and deserved to see red
