Really good game that. Leinster did look a little undercooked, particularly in the second half. Much like they did Vs Tigers. I wonder if ROG made a note of that for his final day tactics.

Good result. In doubt until the end. I really think that "assistant referees" should be heard ie we need more referees. Even the great Wayne was missing stuff.

Well, that's just the French (or Saracens, or Sale)

It just tickled me because they've won it but still found time to show him their feelings

Pantomime stuff isn't it. Wasn't an easy game to officiate, he could have pinged more and dished out cards for both sides for multiple infringements but generally kept the game flowing and got the big decisions right.

I still think Furlong brought that scrum penalty but its not called the dark arts for nothing! Other than that yes I agree with your post.

Superb match. Pleased for La Rochelle, although I did think at one point they had lost it (due to their own indiscipline), but so pleased to see them come through. ROG already among the top coaches.

Re the booing of WB: when the TV showed replays it was easy to see why he had pinged them. But just as I watch everything through green, white and red glasses, I guess the La Rochelle fans see it all through yellow.

Very much agree, Barnes is only human and Furlong wouldn't be considered one of the best tightheads in the world if he couldn't milk a penalty under pressure. If DC or Heyes had done the same for us we'd love it. Such is rugby.

Another thought, to outscore Leinster by three tries to zero is a hell of an achievement, I bet we have to go back a hell of a long time to match that. Bravo, La Rochelle! Now, can they do the double and win the Brennus?
