Can you imagine if he gets a game opposite Van Staden?
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

Be nice though I’m really hoping MVS isn’t called up by the Boks so he can continue his return to full fitness. Kolisa and Kwagga Smith in the mix too

Delighted for Tommy. He's worked so hard this season, it is only fair he gets a chance.

Shame he's been picked with a pretty weird Wales squad though. Can't see them being competitive against South Africa.

Why would he do that it would be a disadvantage to him

Because it would increase his earnings.

New contract means longer till the 60 cap rule comes in. He can earn more here in England atm so with a new contract before he's capped he'd earn more and still be eligible for Wales.

Ok apologies I misunderstood. But a new contract would mean that he was less likely to get more caps, and if he is capped in the summer does that affect things.

So the Wales rule is that after you are capped you cannot sign a contract outside of Wales to remain eligible. So prior to being capped if he were to extend it means longer till he would have to move to Wales.

Yes theoretically means he would be less available for training camps, but if good enough see LRZ) you'll be picked anyway.

Ok thanks for the clarification, unfortunately for every LRZ there is a Jonah Holmes, and there is a lot more competition at 7.
