Oh I missed that, do you think he might be cover as an experienced scrum half for Youngs if he doesn't go to Oz?
He could do especially with Quirkes injury, who knows with Jones. Very little to be gained from taking Lenny to Australia, but he could feel Randall, Mitchell and maybe JVP, can do the job for 3 tests.
Yeah I still feel that if he is going to play Dombrandt and Smith as his 8 and 10 going forward to the world cup then it does make good sense to play Care at 9. Although I would like to see the three you mentioned play a lot more minutes rather than just come on for 20 mins as a sub. Or maybe Jones' cold heart has thawed and is giving Care this England send off, who knows.
Yes,said the same earlier in the thread. It's a ready made 8,9,10 combo

Previously a slower, shorter, less good looking version of Tom Croft.

Choice of Atkinson at 12 is interesting. He is the nearest in style to Farrell as a 12, obvious pointer for his summer plans.

Interesting how it’s Atkinson outside Smith, tells you all you need to know about Eddie’s plans! Is Kelly tied in now after that Canada game? That could prove to be a poor decision on his part when he’s getting splinters!

Kelly might benefit more being no where near the England team till post RWC & maybe more importantly post EJ.
To win is not as important as playing with style!

Just read about the Barbarians centres having played together at high school. Then I realised who they were, Smith, Atkinson, and Marchant are going to have a job containing Botia and Vakatawa!

Apparently Billy has got concussion from the Final, so might not tour.

England were embarrassing against the BaaBaas today. Expect plenty of Tigers and Sarries players to come into the squad.

So we could be without Dombrandt and Billy then?!

Yes. Chick wasn’t terrible today, and I desperately hope that we don’t see Curry or Ludlam at 8. Barbeary might get called up, and Earl may find himself a spot - not that we need any more 7s!

Sam Simmonds will be in the mix too. Don’t be surprised if Eddie goes 6.Lawes 7.Underhill 8.Curry though!

Sounds like players are dropping like flies, Bath fans are saying big Joe is also injured.
