Excuse me, I'm not in the "usual suspect" category, and how do you explain the numerous handling errors before Dolly was injured? Wild passes and dithering were the order of the day. We improved after half time. Falcons are 10th, we are top and we made really heavy weather of it up until the last 20.Mayocaz wrote: ↑Sat May 21, 2022 5:08 pm We’ve won by 22 away from home and the usual suspects are saying it’s not enough of a performance to win against Wasps. This after a spell where I’m sure a broken leg affected some players. Can’t have been easy seeing your mate laying there like that. Great performance.

I am not sure I would say that's a poor performance. We were knocked off balance by an awful injury, and Falcons used the delay to regroup.Rugbygramps wrote: ↑Sat May 21, 2022 5:13 pm From the sounds of it a poor performance. However still managed to win away from home by 22 points.
Difficult time of year, a big emotional loss 2 weeks ago, then weekend off, now we have another weekend off next week.
Even after that we are still top of the league with a home game to come before a home semi.
Obviously big negative Dolly injury, sounded serious.
27-5 win away from home is hardly poor. There were some errors, true, and I thought JVP coming on really helped

I am not sure I'd describe it as 'great' but the team showed a lot of character to regain momentum and end it the way they did. Onwards and upwards!

Toughed it out when Newcastle grew into that middle part of the match. We seemed to play a bit looser today, and there were more misplaced passes as a result. Thought Porter was excellent, after a difficult day against Leinster.
And how great was it to see an engine room of Cam and Chess! Hopefully we see a lot more of that pairing going forward.

Yes it was very good to see Cam Henderson on the pitch. He'll be keen to make up for lost time

One good thing was the small number of penalties we conceded and our disruption of their lineouts and scrums.

So if Tigers beat Wasps, a semi against Saints is on the cards!

Yes, but I think we only need 2BP for that assuming all other elements fall into place...Robespierre wrote: ↑Sat May 21, 2022 7:35 pm So if Tigers beat Wasps, a semi against Saints is on the cards!

If it was one of those crocodile rolls, then perhaps they need to consider making them illegal. Poor Nic Dolly will be in a bad place right now. But he's young and injuries heal - we all hope for the best. I hope the team will use this setback to find more motivation (if needed) for the remaining games.Rugbygramps wrote: ↑Sat May 21, 2022 8:01 pmI haven’t seen it myself but I have been told there is a photo of his knee looking awful.

Can’t remember if Negri got a ban for his crocodile roll on Jack Willis?
Do we think Brocklebank should get one? I do, now that it’s foul play.

Cheering on the Tigers in Detroit.

The roll did not cause the injury...it was the two players falling onto him that caused the injury...not the foul play.
