He and his family have had to go through a lot in recent years and I wish them all the very best for the future. By any possible measure his achievements on the rugby field have been outstanding and I feel privileged to have had the chance to share many of them. He will always be remembered for the service he has shown the club and I trust he will be around for many years to come sharing those memories.

Good luck Tom and thank you for all you have given.

Gutted but inevitable. Nice that he's leading the team out on Saturday. Should give him a few minutes at the end if we're winning by a decent margin.

Thanks Tom, true tigers legend. You'll be missed.

I'm not totally serious, but imagine 2 minutes to go Tigers up by 20 points. Tom Young's comes on for a standing ovation.

Not gonna happen but would be nice.

I do agree it would be nice but only 8 subs allowed and if we were to get an early injury could be problematic

IF top spot was achieved prior to Wasps you could 6-2 the bench and have 2 Hookers on the bench

Edit this is tounge in cheek btw
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

A remarkable career comes to an end, glad to have seen it from start to finish, i remember him as a promising centre and being amazed when he changed path to become an international quality hooker, a great servant to the club and a wonderful captain in very difficult times. Above all a thoroughly nice guy always approachable and respectful to Tiger's fans, a great family man and I wish him all the best for the future, I hope we continue to see him at Welford road watching the game from the stands.
