Just got back: a great win for Tom Youngs.
Chris Ashton World Class as was Moroni. The whole pack excellent though in terms of playing Leinster next week need to be quicker to the breakdown( this is only a criticism in light of just how brilliant a team Leinster are.
Nadalo has been great for us but I cannot see him being in the squad next week as his defence( like last week too) is not strong enough for top games!
The best part of the day was seeing Tom Youngs’ smiling!
As Richard Cockerill often said, “ Rugby is only a game, yes, we always want to win but it’s not life and death!”
Well done the home fans today ( and the Bristol ones) too! Sensational.
Ps
Harry Thacker: brilliant effort and fast enough to play centre and do the opposite of Tom!

What a brilliant day out that was, seat right on the east side 22 line great game to watch and we went try line to try line, when was the last time that happened?

P.S. I really really miss seeing Harry Thacker in a Tigers shirt

For those who missed it, Tom Youngs ended his thank you speech on the pitch after the game with, 'Hopefully, we get Saints here in the semis and :censored: them up!' :smt018 :smt044

I'm not sure our attack will have enough to break Leinster down without him though. His defence might not be as sharp as others but his attacking capabilities and skillset are a stand out and we'll more than likely need them.

Giving him some rest in recent weeks and then building him back up with game time Vs Quins and Bristol should hopefully see him firing Vs Leinster.

Thacker had an absolutely brilliant game didn't he? Showed up well in the scrum v Montoya which many thought he wouldn't as well.

In other news, the BBC are reporting that 'Jacob' Wiese scored a try for us. I wasn't aware there were two of them :smt003

Just got home.gin and tonic in hand. Montoya is fast becoming my favourite player - that kick ahead for CA’s first try was spot on.

The reception for OTY as he led the team out brought a tear to my eye. Maisie’s cartwheels lightened the mood - a GB gymnast in the making? Or will she play for a future Tigers women’s team?

Great day. On to the semi and my ticket for the final has been booked for quite a while anyway.
