Re: Danny Care yellow cards
Wieses cards were for foul play whilst Cares were for technical offences, offside, deliberate knock on etc

Re: Danny Care yellow cards
Thanks just when I thought a yellow card was a yellow card

Re: Danny Care yellow cards
Perhaps some of us see a yellow card as a single punishment. Care is care-free to deliberately knock on or do something 'technical' at will, which I see as completely wrong. Otherwise, we should have two different cards, and the differential treatment can be clear.

Re: Danny Care yellow cards
By the definition set out in law, a deliberate knock on is foul play.
Re: Danny Care yellow cards

Re: Danny Care yellow cards
Just to add the detail to this:
Law 9: Foul Play
Section 7(a): A player must not intentionally infringe any law of the game.
So an intentional knock on is quite clearly foul play as per the laws.
Re: Danny Care yellow cards
A yellow card isn't given for being good! So, in gaining one foul play must have occurred by definition
