Not wishing to count chickens but when was the last time Tigers hosted Leinster at Welford Road? Or indeed last played them?

I think it might have been 2011.

Obviously it isn't confirmed and obviously those wouldn't be the exact sides. There'd be about as much quality as you could hope to see in a QF though. Those are the sort matchups you expect to see in a final. International class all over the pitch.

There was a small matter of a final in Edinburgh in the Heineken Cup, last euro game I went to.

It’s only half time in all matches. Tigers let in an early try or two then who knows what will happen.Wigglesworth too gave a great interview this week about taking nothing more for granted!
I hope we do play Leinster but the priority is Clermont then a massive game v Quins.

That Leinster team is just ridiculous! Might as well be playing in green

That’s the issue: clubs playing national development squads. The salary cap may skew the balance between the English and French clubs but the Irish provinces are effectively now vehicles for the national squads supplemented by a selection of foreign players to give quality games so our chances are slim.

You would think that given the IRFU has some degree of control over this they would try and spread the talent around the other provinces.

If we have to play them anywhere at least Welford road gives us some small advantage

I honestly think that we can give Leinster a good game at Welford road.

There’s an outside chance that Tigers may be playing Connacht in the QF! I don’t know what the odds are in a Connacht win, but I put a fiver on Noble Yeats to win the National and he won at 50/1!! ALLEZ Connacht!!!

Currently they are 11:1 to win or you can get +22 even money.

Good odds, although I won’t be placing a bet as my annual flutter is on the National. Leinster v Connacht kicks off this evening at 5:30, so I’ll be keeping a close eye on the score!
