Pithhead lead our fans on Sunday, it went down a storm, love the long version but as fans we got to keep it short, come on you fans get singing you will love it and hopefully Clermont will remember it for ever. (was Clermont the first time we heard it?)

And to answer the killjoys who will inevitably pop up and tell us we don't traditionally sing at Welford Rd; we didn't traditionally play Smoke on the Water for the players to run out to until the 2000/01 season when the players decided it was time for a new tradition for a new era. This feels like a new era, time to add a new tradition...

Crofty I don't think the Killjoys will object, its a lovely tune and very easy to sing to, it could be our own Sweet Caroline, its almost heaven.

To answer your question LE18, the live band at Clermont started playing “country road” on about the half hour mark and about 5 minutes later the “Welford road” version started to be heard ..it was the first time I had heard it anyway
