About the 8th forward pass missed, at least 3-4 of them have had an official near inline as well

Adjustment or not the point of impact was NEVER direct to the head, it was just fantasy time from poor officials.
You are right but the way refs currently look at it that’s always a red, no nuisance considered
See above comment fro wigworth about Aki on Sexton yesterday, worse than Chessum yet only a yellow card.

It is not the decision per se that I argue against but the often blatant inconsistent (grossly/perversely subjective) application of the law(s). The TMO said direct contact shoulder to head - which was incorrect, clear as day.
haven't seen that incident but I understand your point, first contact was Chessum's chest and ball carriers should but the second his shoulder made contact with the head of the runner that was all they saw

The officials were dreadful, but that is modern rugby.

That doesn't matter......unless your from the stone age....just as long as you keep giving the red cards. I'm really, really hacked off after these two games.

Only because that is what it has been allowed to become.

yeah terrible refs being over promoted starting with the likes of Karl Dickson just to promote the pathway for ex-players instead of being promoted on merit

Despite winning both pretty well, these crazy red cards have left me feeling really deflated.

Should have Porter back for 1/4 final but what's the betting Chessum won't be available.

Got to say with Martin likely out injured that red is more likely made more costly for us than last week's (though Kelly injured reduces our centre options). Think Henderson returning plus the likes of Ilione and Jansen though will offset Chessum, but he will be missed. Snyman though may have picked up a knock, Green nearly came on earlier with Snyman, and was still an early replacement. Fingers crossed all is good.
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

Reckon Chessum will be back before them. Expect roughly similar sanction (if upheld) to Porter. He's not had a red before so will likely be offered a course too.

So 3 down to 2, or 4 down to 3 both mean he's back for the ¼ vs Leinster.

Next 3 games

L.Irish (A) PRC semi
Bristol (H)

Any sane person should see the many forms of mitigation but as the discplinary panels are typically massively insane when it comes to Tigers players, I expect a 3 week ban now. For me, this was yellow at most.

Ah but is the 'ban' in games or weeks?

It's titled weeks, but means games. On Porter's notice it was stated he would bw available from the 27th(without the course) due to the midweek fixture, so only 2½ after the incident.
