Got to say between 20min red cards and clear reds being overturned it seems super rugby is getting more reckless

Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

Offside wrote: Sat Apr 02, 2022 12:13 pm Laws discuss the direction of the ball relative to the teams own try line and it was Sky sports commentators in Australia who seemed to kick off the hands thing and there are some videos online of players running and passing with the hands clearly backwards but the ball goes forwards due to the runners momentum. That is true but that just means that to be within the laws they need to pass it further back if they are running faster! If this magic ball does get adopted it will be relative to the sensors round the pitch so back to the actual laws then! Lines in the grass on replays would do the same!
The laws state that have to pass it backwards not that have to pass it backwards with greater speed than moving forwards so resultant direction is backwards. Suggesting the laws should be changed to the latter just seems silly and would likely only increase ‘odd’ decisions not decrease them.

I would bet good money if the magic ball gets adopted forward passes would be based off an accelerometer in the ball not sensors all around the pitch.

Am I right in saying that this 20 minute red card thing, the player that is carded can’t return but can be replaced after 20 minutes

Bath sure have turned things around from their early season woes, they are looking like a pretty decent team now.

Saints backs looking very sharp again. They just need to find a way to play against more physical sides

The Exeter prop almost scored a fantastic try, defiantly one to watch on the highlights.

It’s weird I’m not really enjoying the Saints game it’s too loose and unstructured

It’s like a friendly match, very odd.

A physical team like Sale, Sarries or ourselves would have smashed both teams given the way they are defending

It is almost like an attack team run.
Dickson doing ok on the whistle but he tends to in these more open games
