Re: PRC - Other midweek Matches
Exciting match in terms of it going to the wire as others have said lacking in quality.
Not sure who got motm but anyone but Ted Hill would be an injustice, Mafi bought some quality off the bench. Less space given to Arundell, teams are learning how to defend against him, it’s now we will start to see how good he is.
Pleased for Worcester, have to admit to not being Diamonds biggest fan but he has already got some more steel in there.

He’s a good player, but I do find it odd that he’s bouncing around the back row. Keep him at 6 and he could be called up by England.Rugbygramps wrote: ↑Wed May 18, 2022 8:41 am Not sure who got motm but anyone but Ted Hill would be an injustice…
Cheering on the Tigers in Detroit.
Previously a slower, shorter, less good looking version of Tom Croft.

Re: PRC - Other midweek Matches
the usual BT Sport bigging up a new young player with unquestionable talent but no mention of his mistakes/poor decision making. Felt he was trying too hard to make an impression last night. I agree teams are going to be all over Arundell from now on. He looked quite upset when the camera caught him in the stands and I do think there is too much expectation being placed on him already when he hasn't played much high intensity rugby against top teams. I hope Irish look after himRugbygramps wrote: ↑Wed May 18, 2022 8:41 am Exciting match in terms of it going to the wire as others have said lacking in quality.

Agreed. Just in recent history Radwan and Kiberige have both dropped out of the limelightTigerXV wrote: ↑Wed May 18, 2022 12:48 pmthe usual BT Sport bigging up a new young player with unquestionable talent but no mention of his mistakes/poor decision making. Re: PRC - Other midweek Matches
If you look at the 23s Tigers put out in the latter part of 2016 into 2017, I'd challenge anyone to state what our first choice 23 was. Over a four month period alone we had Worth, Veainu, Tait and Burns start at full back in the Prem.RagingBull wrote: ↑Tue May 17, 2022 9:07 pmlike 4/5 players max in that starting XV would be considered first choices in those positionsHot_Charlie wrote: ↑Tue May 17, 2022 8:48 amYes. I think all of those players by that point appeared in the Heineken Cup apart from White perhaps. The previous December Jack Roberts had lined up against Jaco Taute v Munster (James Cronin was on the bench)!RagingBull wrote: ↑Mon May 16, 2022 6:47 pm Leicester: Worth; Betham, Tait (capt), Roberts, Brady; Burns, Kitto; Genge, McGuigan, Balmain, Wells, Kitchener, Williams, Thacker, McCaffrey.
Replacements: Youngs, Rizzo, Bateman, Barrow, Hamilton, White, Williams, Smith.
Is that fairly well loaded?
Every single player in that LV Cup Final 23, bar Ben White and maybe George Worth, was (at worst) a fairly regular starter in both the Premiership or Heineken Cup that season. There aren't that many names missing from the 23. Cole, Slater, O'Connor, Tuilagi, JPP, Thompstone, yBYoungs and Harrison certainly, Cilliers and Mulipola maybe.
But the point stands, given the sides we'd been putting out, that's a Premiership or HC capable 23 and not a "weak" or "development" team. It is, as one would say, fairly well loaded.

Re: PRC - Other midweek Matches
It’s basically a fringe squad which Worcester certainly wasn’t.
You had
Logo
Cole
Slater
Fitzgerald (IMO better than Williams)
BOC
Youngs
Toomua
Tuilagi
Thompstone
Veainu
10/15 that would be starters.
Just because they start doesn’t make that team any less of a depth testing squad.

Kyle Hatherell. Previous club Jersey. He made a few mistakes but his work rate was immense. Already on EJ's radar apparently. One to watch maybe?

Yep, slow day here.
