With him and Wiggo and Ash in a team that’s going to drag up the average age that the whipper snappers keep dragging down .. especially if Dan and Ben are on the field too

9.Wigglesworth (39)
10.Burns (32)
11.Nadolo (34)
12.Gopperth (39)
13.Scott (32)
14.Saumaki (30)
15.Ashton (35)
Ages at the start of next season that is.
Make it happen.
That young buck Saumaki dragging the average age down though. Just another reason I hope Kini renews now.

A week with no rugby would make sense. I presume we'll do it before the final game so that those leaving can get a farewell against Wasps.

Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

I’m not suggesting the wheels have come off and before I get lambasted as a doom monger (which I most certainly am not) we have lost 3 out of the last 4 matches in all competitions (yes one was to Quins away, one was to a strong London Irish side when we sent out a massively changed side and one was to, well a full strength Irish International team) but we need to get the positivity back.. MVS returning from injury would be a huge plus.. a few announcements would be nice too..
I am confident we will pick up the required points to secure top spot and hopefully the lads will have learned a huge amount from the defeat to Leinster that will help us get the wins required to lift the Premiership trophy this season..

I honestly don’t see any problem with motivation moving forward now. It’s clearer now absolute minimum is teaching the premiership final. Let’s face it none of us expected this season let’s enjoy it in the sun.

Yes, this set ups way forward is “the next game” so I doubt they’ll be much sulking or deliberating of the “what ifs” or “could haves”lRugbygramps wrote: ↑Sun May 08, 2022 10:28 am I honestly don’t see any problem with motivation moving forward now. Watching Sale I feel 5 for us is a bit of a weakness, I like Snyman he's been impressive in the loose just lacks maybe a bit of bulk, Green technical but not as physical, Wells physical but not as technical.
Chessum has the potential for the other lock spot but we need that JL Du Preez factor player, I really do think Martin could be like that style he's bigger maybe another pre season of conditioning maybe the coaches will like he there.
1. Cronin, 2. Montoya, 3. Cole
4. Chessum, 5. Martin
6. Liebenberg, 7. Van Staden, 8. Wiese
Would be a physical unit for the big packs
16. Dolly, 17. Whitcombe, 18. Heyes, 19. Wells, 20. Reffell speed it up.

I have always thought that should be our 2nd row pairing but was shot down by those who said NOOOO Martin is definitely a 6 who can play lock and Chessum the other way round. Not sure what decided that but stillRagingBull wrote: ↑Sun May 08, 2022 4:11 pm Watching Sale I feel 5 for us is a bit of a weakness, I like Snyman he's been impressive in the loose just lacks maybe a bit of bulk, Green technical but not as physical, Wells physical but not as technical.

Sorry fentiger, i forgot not all our supporters are local, Aled has moved home, out of our village, he used to live in Harry Thackar's house but that's now up for sale. Don't think hes gone far away though.

I genuinely think Chessum and Henderson can be "that" 2nd row combination for us. The end to last season Henderson earned him a deserved Scotland call up, got named to start their game that got canned due to covid, but really looked the business.
