I seem to remember Brian Beadle, ex Dixie Grammar, played for Orrell way back!

I see according to wiki that SS played for Sale.
But of course also went to Loughborough Colleges as was, ( prior to amalgamation with the Uni) That must of been where he first met Fran Cotton with whom he set up Cotton Tradrs
