Grass will not grow much under 10 degrees C so not much can be done short term. Under soil heating and artificial light are the ways soccer stadia cope but both are expensive. I still think the bounce on the artificial pitches make an egg shaped ball on grass look predictable and is detrimental to the game.
Oh I agree rugby should be played on grass and I’m sure it will be good surface Friday night

The pitch is in excellent condition for this time of year.

An average game, but a big 5 points. Burns has to be one of the most infruiting players to watch, ever.

You don’t always have to jump to the clubs defence you know. It wasn’t a criticism just an observation

The intercept pass was just nuts, that’s for sure

Am I right in thinking that there wasn't a single scrum re-set during the game?

Good point but I was impressed how Worcester's scrum matched ours in the first half.

Agreed - my primary reason for mentioning it is that in the past Steve Diamond coached sides have constantly tried to avoid scrummaging when they've come to Welford Road. Re-sets, going straight to ground etc. Fair play to Worcester for taking us on and matching us at one of our big weapon areas

Agreed. I expected the scrum to be one of our big weapons but they matched us well in that area. Line out was better for us but SD has clearly had a positive influence on their forwards play. In the end a few simple mistakes on our part gave the a better score line than perhaps they deserved but they did have their moments.

Saints will be a different sort of challenge but again they are very beatable if we play to our potential. Hope we get a decent man on the whistle (Barnes?).

Not sure the Saints fans would welcome that 😂 I wonder if some of the injured players will make their comebacks this Friday?

Injured or rested who knows? Either way we need them all back!
