Not sure how you can leave out Kelly and Murimurivalu. They were two of our best players today!
Re: Leicester v Bordeaux (H) - 22nd January 2022 - 15:15
Yes it was tough, they were definitely 2 50/50 calls. But Porter and Moroni are no slouches and that starting back 3 is our best imo.No6_Flanker wrote: ↑Sat Jan 15, 2022 5:18 pmNot sure how you can leave out Kelly and Murimurivalu. They were two of our best players today!

I suppose the only counterpoint to, we're qualified so send out the lambs, is that sweeping the group stage would be good for confidence in the side.
No, not that one!
Remember, whatever you do to the smallest of the backs you do to his prop, and you can't avoid the rucks and mauls forever...
"I know you don't like it when I boo him but how else will he know he's wrong?"

Agree with resting Wells And Reffell.
Keep Burns in. He needs game time - but give him some time working on his kicking for goal - at his best those misses today were all well within his capabilities- he can get that back. His control of the game was pretty good today which hasn’t always been the case this season. He needs a run of games.

Can only rest Reffell if HL or MVS are fit though. Who else is there?

I’m sure SB thinks Dolly and Kini can do a worthwhile job there! Haven’t they proved him right?
Re: Leicester v Bordeaux (H) - 22nd January 2022 - 15:15
If we are talking about leaving Reffel out completely then no. They aren’t starting opensides. Let’s hope we get one or two back

Burns bobbed in and out the game. I thought he was quite underwhelming. JVP was the halfback that changed the game for me. He really added impetus. I'd like to see Hegarty get a go at 10.Grimlish wrote: ↑Sat Jan 15, 2022 6:24 pmAgree with resting Wells And Reffell.

Van Wyk, Dolly, Heyes
Snyman, Green
Chessum, Weise, MVS (if not fit Reffell)
JVP, Hegarty
Socino, Moroni
Saumaki, Murimurivalu, Porter

Part of me is tempted to have Lancaster on the game but the chance to keep Burns getting game time would be to useful. Even though we've qualified it's a home game and I don't think we should ever let a home game be considered anything other than a priority. That should be a good mix and give some of the key players rest before coming back in.
