Not postive but the way the numbers are falling off and the mildness of the omicron variant I have a feeling the bubbles rules will change very soon. Guess we will know more come January 26th

Brian Moore is advocating Quinns Will Collier at tight head. Cole also if he's up for it which i think he would be.

Is Watson still injured?

I would love to see a back row of Dombrandt, Barbeary and Curry with Lawes replacing Hill in the 2nd row. Some real carriers there. England will do well if they get front foot ball and I think they will with the ball carriers available.

The problem positions remain the centres, we have lots of good players (Kelly, Atkinson, Marchant, Lawrence, Farrell etc....) but no outstanding players except Tuilagi (when fit) and Slade.

Because EJ likes to stack his bench with forwards, I can see Farrell being on the bench if fit, covering 10 and 12 and Ford missing out.

I wouldn’t mind us going
9.Youngs
10. Smith
11. May
12. Slade
13. Marchant
14. Malins
15. “Air” Steward

People say there’s no carrying there, there was no carrying v SA and we did ok! Tore them apart at times and everyone looked happy with no Farrell there. Malins and Steward were almost telepathic at times and Slade had his best game in an England shirt. Be brave Jones and go for it!

Carrying can come from the likes of Genge, Cowan-Dickie, Sinckler, Itoje, Curry, Dombrandt etc in the forwards too.

Good mix of power, intelligence and pace there Scott, I like it ... but will Eddie?!! :smt002

Thanks! Injuries might force him into it mate. I’m good with Smith,Slade,Tuilagi too. Just don’t want to see Smith/Farrell/Slade or Manu on the wing just to shoehorn him in.

More surprised and gutted to see Adamson getting England v Wales. Happy that Murphy hasn’t been given a middle.
There aren’t any top class Welsh refs yet (2 on the way up). Though they are better than the three we’ve just questioned!

Maybe it's a case of sharing the "love" for Dickson across the continent?

By rights they should have appointed a French ref

I’d imagine a squad of:

Marler, Genge, Rodd
LCD, George, Blamire
Collier, Sinckler, Heyes
Itoje, Launchbury
Hill, Ribbans
Lawes, Martin
Curry, Underhill
Dombrandt, Barbeary
Youngs, Randall
Smith, Farrell
Radwan, OHC
Tuilagi, Kelly
Slade, Marchant
Nowell, Lynagh
Steward, Malins

Kelly gets in as the options at 12 are limited. Maybe tempted to have Wells over Ribbans as someone good to have in the squad training sessions.

I wouldn’t be too upset with that squad. Lynagh in over May?
Cheering on the Tigers in Detroit.
Previously a slower, shorter, less good looking version of Tom Croft.

Suggestions that Ford will miss out and Orlando Bailey of Bath will be named in the squad…

We shall find out soon enough!
