Why no Heyes? He played well again today. I suspect that van Wyk and Leatigaga might not be fit hence Whitcombe on the bench today.

I'd like to see Kelly get a game off to refresh.

Scott, Moroni
Saumaki, Hegarty, Murimurivalu

With two wins already and Borthwick having shown he often likes to rotate for Away European games (and prioritise the league)

So I think the focus will be giving some of the guys who look tired some time off, Wells especially has put in some shifts recently and looks like he may need a breather.

I expect a much changed team, but even so I expect Borthwick to pick a team he thinks can go there and produce the goods
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

I guess there's two ways to look at this fixture, either we go all guns blazing to return to winning ways or we rotate players to give others a chance of game time, either will do for me. Some players probably need a rest or perhaps on the bench, some players have played a lot of minutes and will be needed during the 6 Nations period. Connacht are a tough side at home, depends on our priorities, not done the maths on what results we need to progress to the knockouts.

Three wins should be good enough to progress to the next stage...........

Having shown us his versatility I think we should maybe reward Kini with a start at 15? He's only started the prem cup games for us this season so think he could do with a run out in his preferred position.

Being selected at 15 in mid-January - at the wildest, windiest pro rugby ground on the planet? You’ve got an idiosyncratic idea of what constitutes a reward :smt002

Agreed! Binding on to a warm, sweaty scrum may be favourite :smt058

I quite like the look of Raging Bull's selection, maybe JVP who I thought showed signs of needing more game time in the squad instead of either Youngs or Wiggy.

Going to be interesting. We’ve got plenty of forwards in need of a rest like Wells and Reffell. On the flipside we’ve plenty of backs in need of game time. I’d go for.

Van Wyk Dolly Heyes
Snyman Green
Martin MVS Weise
Youngs Burns
Socino Moroni
Samuaki Hegarty Murimurivalu

Clare Whitcombe Cole Henderson Chessum JVP Lancaster Nadolo
