I agree pick JVP, I thought he didn't have the best of his game v Wasps, he fumbled around base of the scrum too often, getting caught one or twice and that resulted in some poor slow passes to Ford. I think he is rusty. He is a very good attacking player but not at his best last week.

French official Mathieu Raynal will be in charge of the Leicester Tigers match against Connacht Rugby in Ireland in Round 3 of the Heineken Champions Cup next Saturday.

Tournament organisers EPCR, who on Friday announced that all fixtures are set to go ahead as scheduled despite updates on travel restrictions in some countries, have revealed their match official appointments for the remaining pool stage fixtures.

The Round 4 fixture between Leicester Tigers and Bordeaux-Bègles at Mattioli Woods Welford Road on Saturday, January 22 will be refereed by Georgian official Nika Amashukeli.

Going to be interesting to see which matches actually go ahead this weekend. Teams nervous about travelling to France as have to test in country and could have to quarentine there (from what I read, losing track of who has to do what and where). Bath saying they will not travel under current restrictions.

The cynic in me says this may be Bath's best chance of points

I was thinking not. If the match can be played and Bath decide not to play the fixture then I am guessing that they get a 28-0 defeat awarded against them.

Now France have relaxed the rules from tomorrow, hopefully the games in France this weekend against the English clubs can now go ahead.

Forecast for Galway on Saturday: 9 degrees, 40% chance of rain, 8mph wind gusting to 15mph so very light for a change.

Need Reffell to do 80 though or as close to it. Manz looks an absolute monster!
