Can see Cole and Montoya being on the bench for this one now for some late leadership.
Hmm I dunno I think Borthwick would only do that if he was going to have Whitcombe on the bench as well. The Borthwick tactics generally have a bench to bring an impact to the game. We wear down the opposition then use our bench to either see out the game or provide the coup de grace. I would assume that we'll go with the Genge/Montoya/Cole and then hammer the Falcons scrum and maul defence during the first 50/60 mins and then bring on the more mobile Leatigaga/Dolly/Heyes to turn the screw against either the tired Falcons starting props or the inferior bench front row.
I also think we might see Wells at 6 and then if fit Henderson along with Chessum on the bench.
4. Snyman
5. Green
6. Wells
7. Reffell
8. Martin
19. Henderson
20. Chessum
Chessum has been playing really well so I’d start him at 6 and Martin at 8. Was never a fan of Wells at 6
Chessum has been playing extremely well and ordinarily with everyone available I'd want him starting in the row. However, Borthwick likes impact off the bench and Wells will hit things hard for 50 mins before moving into the row and a fresh Chessum for the last 30 will give us more impact over the course of the game.
If we start Chessum then we are a bit stuck with backrow replacements and will end up trying to keep the starting backrow on for the full 80 as opposed to looking for impact.
The Panel determined that the appropriate entry point was 2 weeks. This is because the 3 yellow cards were for similar matters
and within a 6 week period. The Player was entitled to some mitigation on account of his plea and the other mitigation set out
above therefore 1 week was deducted. However, an additional week was added on to reflect his poor previous record.
