Have to agree with the commentators on one thing - we were confident enough to play for the win, not go for the drop goal and the draw.

How could we get pulled for not striking the ball in the scrum, 95 % of the time the ball is put into the 2 nd row totally bypassing the hooker.

Nope.....don't agree. A good yell at the telly lowers the seasonal tension.

The thing that stands out for me is that, we play like that 2 years ago, heads drop and we get absolutely skewered!
In my defence, I was left unsupervised….

Chessum is fast becoming a must start in the row, am I right in thinking his brother is bigger than he is?

I've always believed that, if you shout at the telly loud enough, the ref will hear you!

I’ve been pretty ill for 24hrs but that’s cheered me up from my bed
Martin had a really good game. Some big tackles and that carry was a peach, absolute textbook pick and drove straight through the opposition flyhalf.

Exactly this. An absolutely random bit of reffing….again all we ask is consistency so let’s see all refs pinging teams for this across the piece. Won’t happen, just like we will never see a ref doing anything after shouting “use it”.

Their tries came from our mistakes however we were trying to run the ball something a lot on here are demanding so work in progress it is, but we still won.
It's very important to note that there are two religious sects fighting for control here: The Mongers of Doom and the Clappers of Happy. It's been going on since 1780, conveniently a century before the club was formed and about 210 years before the internet existed. Some of the original members are still present.

Depending on the day, or whether or not Cockers requires sacking, or indeed the beer service in ABC bar is iffy, a Monger or Clapper ascendency will be noted. A high Mongosity score can be observed at half times when we're down. However, during the early 2000s there was significant Clapperisation at these points. This confused some fans by accidentally pushing them into a state known as "optimism".

Still, a few errors today, flattered Bristol a bit (but not much because I think they put Tigers under a lot of speedy pressure), Ellis turned out a decent game (possibly indicating "integrity"), but a really gutsy win. I'll take a team that can grind out an >80 minute win with an opposition breaking try, simply by holding onto the ball and taking the chance. To do so a man down, with the option of an "easy" draw on the table is a double bonus.

Lastly, it is important to note that this may or may not be my opinion, which, according to the Laws and Practices of this place renders it inviolate. Probably. ;-)
