HP: The challenge of trying to outsmart your opponents with a game plan and discipline is what excites me, because that’s the way I was brought up with my rugby in Pretoria and South Africa.

Super Rugby is a fast paced, open style of rugby and France was on another level with space and playing what you see, which is fine, but I wasn’t brought up that way; I played for the Bulls and Springboks, where it is quite structured and about out-smarting your opponent in terms of tactics and not just one guys brilliance.

Interesting thoughts IMO

Really good read. The way he talks is definitely promising. When I initially went Lozowski over Pollard it was wages, the fact we have got him on the same/cheaper wages than Ford is great news too.

The team seems like a team now, not just a group of individuals.

Interesting that he mentioned Ford. He does not appear to be coming in with an ego and recognises that there are big boots to fill. He also has some existing relationships to rekindle that will be very helpful for him to settle. I am looking forward to his first game at MWWR and the noise of the crowd when he runs on 😁

Fantastic interview and great prospect.

Great he’s already played alongside Hanro, Marco and Eli at the Bulls, Jasper and Marco with the Springboks and Nemani at Montpellier.

Linking up with Aled again seems like a real bonus for him and I really like the what he had to say about Borthwick and his vision for the club. Hopefully he won’t be taking the England job anytime soon then!

Lots of positives and plenty to look forward to.

What a great interview! This guy talks so much sense. I am over the moon that he is joining us, as he is a diamond. Like Ford he appears to be a great thinker, which is really key to being a fly half.

Losing Ford, with Pollard replacing him, has removed the worries I had. The good times appear to be coming back, and the future,
looks exciting. :smt041 :smt026 .

Great interview with J S. The real shock was that it's been 25 years!

If he is as good as JS we are going to be a very happy bunch of supporters.

Handré Pollard hasn’t been picked for Montpellier for a while now, and I don’t know why. Maybe carrying an injury?
