Somewhere along the lines of "do not remind us that we are not very good." "We do not take criticism well."

The video was ill-advised, but to be fair, IMHO not far from the truth.

I don't get why he was still a "water carrier" during the Scotland match. Surely he should have been in the stands?

Plonker shouldn’t be allowed to be a H2O runner, keep him on the bench or in the stands like any other director of rugby!!

All things considered I personally believe that Erasmus got off lightly. His blatant manipulation of the rules of the game together with the open 'video critique' of a referee are just unacceptable from any official from club or country. Then we have the (unproven) allegation of the Twitter burner account in the name of 'Jaco Johan'.
He should be an inspiration for what he has achieved in the game in terms of Rugby. He has instead, with his actions, managed to single highhandedly dissipate and erode so much of the goodwill and popularity that The Springboks had so rightly earned.
A pity he sees the need to act in this way.

Bokke fans in shambles I'm sure
No, not that one!

Remember, whatever you do to the smallest of the backs you do to his prop, and you can't avoid the rucks and mauls forever...

I know you don't like it when I boo him but how else will he know he's wrong?

Completely agree, if you read about the effect the whole incident has had on Nic Berry it is completely unacceptable.

England suffered far far worse with two bonkers decisions v Wales in the 6Ns this year, and to a large extent kept their counsel, preferring to let neutrals point out the mistakes.

If a referee really has a stinker there are ways of dealing with it and if it continues they will quite rightly be demoted. But those decisions should be in the hands of knowledgeable neutrals, not the sinned against team's coach.

Apparently Erasmus now working with South African Broadcasters 'Supersport' - making a documentary which will offer him the chance to explain 'his side of the story' with regard to his ban...
