More on the Harry Potter incident. Here's a video from the French website Rugbyrama. Listen right at the end when the commentator quips, "c'est normal qu'il a disparu, c'est Harry Potter"!!

https://video.rugbyrama.fr/rugby/champi ... ideo.shtml

The shove from the winger didn't seem too bad, and Harry could have maybe avoided jumping into the bear pit!

It's been making me chuckle all weekend to be honest (once he was obviously ok!). These bear pits seem to be a common thing in France, I remember the Parc des Princes in 2001 had a huge bear pit, wouldn't have wanted to jump into that one!!

Also went to see Tigers play away in Perpignan many years ago and seem to remember that the standing area was enclosed with a massive fence.....it was virtually impossible to see anything!!

What's the reason Robes, historic crowd trouble?

The stadium in Bordeaux is a former football stadium, which may explain why!

And I don't mean that as a slight on Handre, he looks an excellent player and one I'm excited about us signing. It's more a commentary on how good George has been for us since pretty much day 1. We all know how good he was a couple of seasons ago when he was instrumental in keeping us up, but his game management and all round skills have been out of this world this season. I'm gonna miss him so much :smt005 :smt010
Ford has been outstanding for us but nobody is irreplaceable. Ford played well yesterday but wasn’t perfect.. a shanked penalty and missed touch on another penalty might have proved more costly on another night. Ford has been a great servant for the club and continues to be but we will be fine without him I have no doubt. He will be a big loss, Pollard has had a fairly underwhelming season to date and has had a tough time injury wise and will no doubt take a while to settle and adjust.. but.. I have no doubt that Steve, Aled & co will get the best out of him. He will learn the Tigers way and will be a fantastic addition to our squad I have no doubt.
Don't get me wrong, I don't think anyone is irreplaceable, that's not what I'm saying. Pollard is realistically the best option we could have so I'm chuffed about his signing. With the coaching he'll get here I think he'll be even better than he has been. Ford has been superb though, and that was more the point of my waffle. If Pollard is anywhere near as good we'll be fine. :smt023

Any idea why Bordeaux where allowed to replace there loosehead (17 Paiva) in the 77min with (3) Tameifuna, Tameifuna had been subbed off in the 48th min.

It didn't seem to be a HIA and seemed a very convenient time to change your prop especially as Paiva always looked to long in the scrum and was collapsing very time.

If it was a general injury surely Bordeaux should have had to drop a player and play with 14. Not sure what the laws are around prop subs but it does feel that you can sub off and back on for general injuries which doesn't feel right and I believe Italy were using this theory in the last 6 nations.

As prop is a specialist position for safety reasons I think any type of injury allows you to reverse a prop substitute, so long as the returning prop didn't go off injured (see Tigers Bristol last season)
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

I don’t fully get the team, I get resting Youngs and Steward.
