Great results for us so far. Sarries got 3, Saints go 0, Exeter got 1 and we got 5
17 points ahead of Exeter now

Puts Tigers performance into perspective, all teams struggle when internationals are away. Tigers now have a squad that can still win.

Re: Premiership Round 8 ; Other Matches
Sarries Irish game.. have to take my hat off to Irish.. red card after 20 minutes with only 3 points on the board. 27-3 down after 50 minutes and 34-8 down after 61 minutes.. cue the Irish late drama.. incredible second half performance and some great pressure late on scoring the final try in the 87th minute! Jackson went off after 23 minutes so Jennings took over the kicking duties and he nailed the near touchline conversion in the 88th minute to draw level.. what a comeback once again
As an aside on ill discipline.. Bath's cheap shot last night gave us a chance to go for the TBP and successfully get it. Sarries cheap shot on Porter in the dying stages of our match with them gave us the opportunity to snatch the late win and once again today Sarries ill discipline cost them. Their 15 hits the Irish player late in the 79th minute. Would have been a Sarries lineout but turns into an Irish penalty and they go on to equalise. We seem to have cut this out of our game but lots of sides coming unstuck because of ill discipline.

Re: Premiership Round 8 ; Other Matches
Question for the stats geeks here - with LI on 3 draws from 8, what’s the Premiership record for number of draws in a season?

Re: Premiership Round 8 ; Other Matches
Equals Exeter’s 3 draws in the 2016/17 season and is one behind Newcastle and Worcester’s total of 4 draws each in the 2009/10 season. 4 games is the most draws in the last 20 years in the Premiership as far as I know.
That’s 5 draws for Irish in their last 24 premiership matches

Thanks - some fast research there, unless you’ve got a freakish memory for stats!OakhamTiger32 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 06, 2021 9:23 pmEquals Exeter’s 3 draws in the 2016/17 season and is one behind Newcastle and Worcester’s total of 4 draws each in the 2009/10 season. 4 games is the most draws in the last 20 years in the Premiership as far as I know

Bristol game not as one sided as the scoreline suggests. A couple of their tries were from turnovers and quick breaks and their 9 looks a class player.. they have some real quality at SH.
