The longer the revival carries on, the less likely anyone will want to leave for purely rugby and ambition reasons. You never know with personal feelings though.

I also feel that the club currently though that every player can be replaced if needed.
We are playing a type of rugby that is very system driven.
We have won 3 of our 9 games without Genge starting for example.

That's how Man City operate under Pep. That was Chiefs raison d'être.RagingBull wrote: ↑Tue Dec 07, 2021 11:02 am I also feel that the club currently though that every player can be replaced if needed.

“There are bigger deals on the table, but I’ve made this decision to work with Steve [Borthwick] and to be a part of an unreal, great club at Leicester Tigers which has such a great history,” he added.

I wish the club would announce the length of contract, If it's 2 or 3 years then i'm happy if it's only 1 year then its not that good for us

Not sure why it would be 1 year?
Normally 1 year deals tend to be announced unless it's rolling.
also doubt he would come for less money just for 1 year

And Walters, I suspect. We might be offering less dosh now, but if he can stay fit, it's possible he'll do better long term at a club where he won't be flogged. More international paydays, for example. Walters is in a position to give that level of understanding, and Tigers don't have a history of standing in the way of international call ups.

As previously said it could be argued he is a better player than George although I am still sorry to see George leave. He has been a great servant to the club and we owe him lots, particularly when we were going through our lowest ebb.
George had a great game last week and I believe him when he says he will give his all for the remainder of the season. Lets see what we can do in Europe

Fantastic World Class replacement for George who will remain available during the 6N window (although will miss the first part of each season).
Quality goal kicker and fantastic talent who I’m sure will flourish under the Tigers coaches. Just hope we can keep him injury free as he’s had a tough time in the past.
Halfback pairing of JvP and Pollard during the 6N isn’t too shabby!

I’ve been having similar musings. Was gutted when I heard Ford was leaving, think he’s a great player and has done so much for us as a club, especially when we weren’t doing so well.Noggs wrote: ↑Tue Dec 07, 2021 2:42 pm As previously said it could be argued he is a better player than George although I am still sorry to see George leave. But if someone said next week we’re in the premiership or European final, you get to pick Ford or Pollard at 10, then objectively I’d pick Pollard every time. Just feel he’s more of a big match player with a better all round game. Albeit Ford is the better attacker.

What I am impressed wiht is the speed and decisive way in which we have done business. Ford has made his decision, we have seen a prime replacement is available and we have gone in and got the deal signed quickly. Good work by all involved.
