Ollie Devoto would be ideal. Or someone in his frame and skillset.

Lancaster plays 12 also. He seems to have been forgotten about in this thread

Don’t think Lancaster is forgotten just hard to figure out where someone is when they haven’t played a prem game yet.

In terms of centers long term you would imagine Woodward and Loose being given contracts next season.

Lancaster's talented but the coaches may well be hoping for him to nail down a starting shirt at Championship level before making that step up.
I imagine there a similar thoughts about Hurd currently. He's been used from the bench in 6 of his 7 Cov apps this season.

I saw him come off the bench against Bedford. Made a huge difference to the Cov scrumABClub wrote: ↑Mon Feb 21, 2022 10:20 am Lancaster's talented but the coaches may well be hoping for him to nail down a starting shirt at Championship level before making that step up.

In my defence, I was left unsupervised….

Lancaster is an interesting one. Hard to see how he's going to get the experience at Premiership level, given we've got Burns and/or Hegarty at the moment. The only way would be if there was an injury to either of those two. From what I've seen of him at Nottingham, he's been ok without being amazing, but I'm really conscious that players need a run of games, for confidence and to get a feel for the game. Very difficult for anyone to just come in and hit the ground running, especially for a 10. His best game for me was at Hartpury, where he really ran the show and Notts were unlucky not to win that game at the death. I guess he's learning every day from Ford (when he's there) and Burns, two of the best, so just hope that he kicks on. Game time needed though I think.RagingBull wrote: ↑Mon Feb 21, 2022 8:26 am Don’t think Lancaster is forgotten just hard to figure out where someone is when they haven’t played a prem game yet.

With both Richardson and Hurd, I'm sure I saw that one of the reasons that Richardson and Hurd weren't starting as much for Cov is they weren't training with Cov throughout the week. So I think early part of the week they train with us then go to Cov later in the week.ABClub wrote: ↑Mon Feb 21, 2022 10:20 am Lancaster's talented but the coaches may well be hoping for him to nail down a starting shirt at Championship level before making that step up.

So don't completely judge on the not starting for them stats.
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

Looks like Kruis won’t be heading our way.
Some of the papers are talking of his retirement.

Shame at least he isn’t going to another prem club.
Guess his business is doing well and whilst he’s still in one piece wants to focus on that.

Announced on FourFiveUk his new business adventure that he has called it a day, clearly made his money in Japan and doesn’t fancy it anymore.

Ashton talks a bit about the move on the rugby union podcast.
Honestly he’s quite endearing.
Says he was signed originally as a bit of cover with Steward away.
Danny Care does give a bit of a insight into Ashton.
Sounds like he is a massive competitor and just didn’t like the environments in his last 3 clubs which is why he left them.
