There’s no one better than Freddie under the high ball, he’s got a great boot and good hands. I do fear he’ll be exposed for pace in the wide channels though.

Malins is versatile but he got the tries when on the wing not at fullback. EJ knows what Malins can do at international level so it may be more informative to try Freddie, at least for a couple of games. As Malins is in good form playing him for one on the wing to see if the form translates to international level opposition would be sensible too. Jonnie May is excellent but his excellence is well documents. EJ needs to decide if these are trials or games to be won and select accordingly.
