26 Game Premiership season

A number of times BT Sport have referred to a 26 game premiership season. Am I missing something here as there are now 13 teams which equates to 24 games or are they including the play off games ?

I would assume they are including the sem-final and final. Whoever wins the premiership would have had to play 26 games.
