Has it been said what is wrong with Charlie Clare? Or how long it’ll be before he is back?
It’s fantastic having Montoya back and Dolly has obviously been a revelation but… we could possibly loose both of those and poor old Tom on indefinite compassionate leave we are now probably exposed in what was one of our areas of strength.

Not been confirmed what it was but Borthwick has confirmed it's an injury (no newer update than the link below as far as I'm aware)mightymouse wrote: ↑Wed Oct 20, 2021 9:11 am Has it been said what is wrong with Charlie Clare? Or how long it’ll be before he is back?

Probably worth noting that Tom Cowan-Dickie was signed on the 11th September so only 2 days after Tom Youngs last played for us in preseason, so TCD's signing was much more likely to be for Clare than for Tom Youngs, which suggests to me it was for a significant period the injury

Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

Good deduction
I think we may need another emergency signing unless Nottingham have a likely candidate
Bit early for Vanes!

The thing with Farnworth is he does have a day job also now I believe, so might be harder to get him in.

I was excited about the Tigers Sale match.. have to say my excitement has rapidly vanished having seen the officials for Sat:
Referee: Karl Dickson (48th Premiership game). Assistant Referees: Adam Leal & Rob Warburton. TMO: Rowan Kitt. Citing Officer: Brian Campsall.

Looking at the officials for Sale game, it is a good chance for SB to focus on playing the ref much better. Dickson has (in my opinion) made some calamitous decisions in recent seasons. However, for us to truly succeed, we have to learn to deal with idiot referees and win games in spite of them.

I think if I were Borthwick I'd certainly give Liebenberg a rest weekend this weekend.
Yes this is a game vs a very good Sale team, but so far this season I think Liebenberg has started every game and bar a yellow card I think he's played every minute (may be wrong on that)
Currently we have Wiese, Van Staden & Martin with us, but all 3 will be leaving us over the internationals. Give Liebenberg a rest, play those 3 with Chessum on the bench (or Brink if fit again)
Giving him a breather now in what is possibly the last opportunity to do that.
Also he's the VC of the team and when Genge is away his leadership will be vital

I like your thinking Steve, but IBWT.
I'd love to be there but am really concerned about the huge rise in infections
