Another thing that's annoyed me tonight and always seems to go unpunished.. how many times have we heard.. come on you've had your 5 (seconds)? Why don't referees ping SHs for taking too long? Not seen it happen once yet despite numerous SHs taking too long and being repeatedly warned

Never liked Tempest but he is truly awful tonight. Bath are being reffed out of this game

Thought he was alright when he refereed us recently but tonight is a different standard altogether :smt009

Tempest is definitely helping them with that.. although.. bringing the maul down right on the try line twice was pretty dull.. only ever going to be one outcome there and could prove costly :smt012

TBF neither side looked very good! But Bristol were ably assisted by the man in pink :smt013

Bath lose by 5, Bristol 7 points should have been chalked off for a knock on and Bath could have had a try that was disallowed for a knock on.. fine margins. Commentators praising the outstanding effort by Bristol in the second half but they got lucky for me with some questionable calls from the officials.. glad we don’t have this officiating team tomorrow!

On tonight’s showing I’m not concerned by either side posing a threat

I don't think Bath can blame Tempest their forwards were really poor. The Bath backs looked really good when their forwards remembered how to catch and gave them a platform. So many dumb penalties from the Bath forwards there seemed to be a real turning point when two Tigers got involved. Kerr added a lot to the Bristol pack and Williams reduced the IQ of Bath's further.

Orlando Bailey at 10 had a cracking game for Bath. He looked to have matured over the summer. The kick for Muir's second was delightful.

Agreed. Really rated Kerr during his time with us just never quite settled with lots of competition. Williams on the other hand I am glad has started plaguing another club with his ill discipline and dull moments

Considering what happened at the end of our game against Bristol and the game tonight, if I were Bristol I would want Tempest every week.

I'm left wondering how Bristol can fit him in under the cap? :smt044 :smt044 :smt044
