Saints Away - 30th October 2021

Post by Bunchy »

Sharing a little snippet of news i just heard from the ticket office - it would seem the allocation of away tickets is changing this year - not sure it applies for every away game - but specifically, we wont be getting Saints tickets from Tigers ticket office, but instead will get emailed a link to buy directly about 2 weeks before the game.

Think its to do with covid and avoiding multiple hands handling tickets.

So, there are plenty of tickets available on the saints website - just got mine!!! If you are planning to go, it would seem a good time to buy.

Thanks. I too asked the club to let me know when the club will get tickets and got the same reply.
Where are we going to stand( my first choice) or sit?
Would be great to stand sit with fellow Tigers.
Thanks.

Echoing the above, where's the best place to aim to sit for the travelling Tigers fan?

Just thinking about selection for this game and the following one affected by autumn internationals

Probably unavailable (in 5 day camp starting Monday 25th in Jersey) but SB could use from the bench as he did in the Sarries game.

Freddie Steward
Ellis
YBY
Dolly
George Martin

Then for Bath the following week, add in

Montoya
Moroni
Wiese
Van Staden

Then its premiership cup for 2 weeks, and then a bye week for us so we should be back fully gunned for Quins at WR Sunday Dec 5th followed by 2 European matches.
The bath match is the one where we look a little thin, although a massive bonus to have Nadolo, Muri and GF available.

For me I’d say:

Potential Side vs Saints
Van Wyk, Montoya, Cole, Wells, Snyman, Liebenberg, Van Staden, Wiese, JvP, Ford, Nadolo, Scott, Moroni, Potter, Murimurivalu

Subs TCD, Leatigaga, Heyes, Henderson, Chessum, Wigglesworth, Burns, Porter

Potential Side vs Bath
Van Wyk, TCD (Clare if fit), Cole, Wells, Snyman, Chessum, Reffell, Liebenberg, JvP, Ford, Nadolo, Kelly, Porter, Potter, Murimurivalu

Subs Vanes, Leatigaga, Heyes, Henderson, Evans, Wigglesworth, Burns, Socino

Good selections for both matches Oakham Tiger but would you not be tempted to have Calum Green in the mix as well?
Tigers for the premiership and European Cup. Get behind the team and make some noise!!

Yes it’s a tough one. He’s been in good form and knows the league well so I’m sure he will feature lots this season; maybe even this weekend if the training info posted by RB is anything to go by. I think Wells and Snyman are linking up really well and that’s our strongest pairing for my money and I’ve been really impressed by Henderson coming off the bench to add some dynamism so that’s what I’d go for but Green is a great option also

It does make a nice change to be able to discuss team selection during internationals rather than having to put down the names of anyone with a pair of boots who is available on Saturdays.

I think Green would be the perfect player to play when we rest Liebenberg.

8. Wiese
9. JvP
10. Ford
11. Nadolo
12. Scott
13. Moroni
14. Potter
15. Murimurivalu

Subs TCD, Leatigaga, Heyes, Henderson, Reffell, Wigglesworth, Burns, Porter

Just as a reference 10th November 2019 vs London Irish
Holmes
Thompstone
Forsyth
Hardwick
Olowafela
Hardwick
Harrison
Bateman
Youngs
Heyes
Wells
Green
Kalamafoni
Thompson
Taufua

I reckon 6 at a push would get into the team your suggesting? No wonder we were rubbish- look at the players we had!

Porter likely injured, not seen him since he came off injured vs LI, personally I'd have Hegarty on the bench
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

Most of those who may get in are still with us, Wells and Heyes...

Trouble is then there’s 2 FH,one who can play FB and a FB who can play FH. Its a bit overkill,if Porter is fit he can cover ,11,13 and 14 with Burns to cover 15 if need be.Ford won’t be coming off unless he’s injured anyway. Apologies upfront though if Hegarty can cover wing too.
